Privacy

In short

Finnish Museums does not collect, store or transmit personal data. The app has no user accounts, no analytics and no paid advertising. The app's fox mascot may point out museum-related things, but nobody pays for that visibility.

Location

Your location is used only on your device: to show where you are on the map, the nearest museums and the compass direction. Location data is never sent anywhere, and the app works without location permission too.

Data stored on your device

Your Museum Card number (if you save it) and your visit records with dates are stored only on your own device. They are removed when you delete the app.

Map service

The Android version draws its map with Google Maps and the iOS version with Apple Maps. When map tiles are loaded, the map service processes your network address under its own privacy policy: Google, Apple.

This site has no cookies, no tracking and no analytics.
